The overhaul murdered my frame rate, so here's some useful information for remedying that: Instead, follow this excellent video tutorial for installation: DO NOT use the Nexus Mod Manager for this.
Modding Morrowind can be overwhelming for some people, and they might want to start out with a compilation before they feel comfortable picking and choosing mods on their own. The pack is intended for people who would prefer not to hand-pick mods out of the thousands of mods available. The main benefit of this compilations is that players don’t need to go through the “download every single mod out there and try it” phase of customizing Morrowind. It is available many other places, so here is a list of alternative locations:

All I wanted was to play the game with well-known bug-fixes and graphical improvements to enjoy the game without it feeling outdated. Also provides the ability to change the settings about which mod should win the conflict by going last, without needing to reinstall and the program informs you about the presence of a file conflict in your load order.Disclaimer: I have almost 0 prior mod-installing experience. For Vortex, it will inform you about the existence of a file and its conflict in your load order.

Vortex has moved from the alpha, beta testing phase, and is now available with a full release. It has a few features that are better and not available on the other ones. Vortex is the nice middle ground between Nexus Mod Manager (NMM) and Mod Organizer (MO). If the Nexus Mod Manager still doesn’t work, then switching to Vortex can be helpful for downloading mods.
